U 1000V R2V Cable Designed For Fixed Applications- KINGYEAR

The R2V and RVFV cables are offered with conductors across a wide cross-sectional area size - from 1.5mm2 up to 630mm2 in the case of single core cables. The smallest size cables, up to and including 4mm2 are supplied with Class 1 solid conductors, although these small sizes are also available with a stranded copper (Class 2) conductor upon request. For core sizes of 6mm2 and above, the conductors are Class 2 rigid stranded. Cables are available with 2-core, 3-core, 3-core plus earth, 4-core, 5-core and 7-core copper conductors.

The R2V cable has a temperature rating of -10oC to +50oC during installation, before broadening to -25oC to +90oC when fixed. The RVFV has a range of -10oC to +60oC.

R2V cable (also known as XV or RV cable) are rigid unarmoured power and control cables, whilst U-1000 RVFV cable (also known as XAV cable) are the armoured equivalent. They are used for the supply of electricity in a wide range of semi-industrial and industrial applications with a voltage rating of 600/1000V. This including lighting remote control and telecontrol installation systems, and other electrical devices.

The U-1000 R2V cable can be fixed on cable trays, within conduits or to walls. The U-1000 RVFV is constructed with additional two layers of steel tape armouring and so can also be used outdoors and in direct burial installations or where additional protection against mechanical stresses is required. The U-1000 RVFV is not recommended for burial in areas that are flooded for more than two months per year or in trenches used as drains.
